It is my pleasure to recommend the renovation/building services of Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes to you. We hired Michael Nash Design, Build & Homes to finish our basement in the fall of 2009. They were easy to work with and provided a professional level and turnkey finished product. We heard about Michael Nash though online reviews and decided to take our project to them. Their show room provided us with a multitude of ideas and possibilities. I liked their business model which offered different levels of materials giving us the flexibility to make selections that fit within our budget. They took our initial design and made suggestions that improved the overall design and layout. Another important and telling fact about Michael Nash is that their employees and subcontractors have all worked together for years--some of them for more than 15 years! This was a sign to me that they were well established and have a loyal workforce. As it happens, I am in the military and was scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan in January 2010. We had made Michael Nash aware of that fact prior to signing the contract and the Michael Nash team did everything they could to start the project early, keep it on track, and finish it before I deployed so that I could see the end result. Their attention to detail throughout the project was also very important to us. We were able to play the role of bystander watching the progress of the project with little oversight required on our part. When we did notice something that needed to be changed, we simply spoke with the project manager and it was immediately corrected. The project manager also did a great job in quality control of the workmanship and kept things on schedule. This was a $50K project that went through to completion with no glitches. Believe me, we would know contractor quality since this is the third home we’ve built dealing with contractors. The Michael Nash team provided grade-A service. While I was deployed, five months later, the hot water heater failed (this hot water heater was the original when the house was built in 2003) resulting in a water leak ruining part of our new wood floors that Michael Nash had installed. My wife contacted Michael Nash and they did a perfect job repairing the wood floor. We are very happy with the outcome and with the professionalism of the Michael Nash team especially for taking on the project and finishing it before I deployed and then helping my wife to deal with the floor repair while I was away. We are very pleased with our lovely new living space and we highly recommend Michael Nash Design, Home & Build to anyone that looking for a contractor that delivers on what they promise. Sincerely, Richard J. Lebel

We hired s+w kitchens to do a complete tear down and build up of our 2 bedroom beach condo. Adam Vinson of the Palm Harbor office and his crew did a superb job. They worked carefully with us to consider all the options for flooring, paint, countertops, windows, etc and helped us make the proper selections that fit both our taste and our budget. S+W overcame challenges with permits, condo building restrictions, and unexpected structural oddities. The crews that worked on our place were very capable and professional. With the completed job we have a redecorated condo unit that looks fantastic and meets our every need. We are very happy and satisfied and cannot thank S+W and Adam Vinson enough for creating such a wonderful place to live. I would highly recommend S+W to anyone looking to renovate their house or condo.

The Baron Construction and Remodeling demoed the entire kitchen, and remodeled all the counters and installed new cabinets. They also installed all the appliances. Ensured that the new kitchen meets all the new building codes. Baron Construction and Remodeling did a very professional job and taking our requests and suggestions into consideration. All the workers are polite and professional. The project leader, Eli Levy is very attentive and visited the job site frequently. The owner, Mike Baron also paid several visits personally. They also built a custom bench for our kitchen nook which turned out very nice. For the downstairs bathroom, they also demoed the entire bathroom and built the shower from scratch. They did a great job on the tile for the shower. It is the most beautiful shower in the house now. I would recommend Baron Construction and Remodeling to my friends and other people.

Our old, disgusting kitchen was in desperate need of a remodel. We wanted everything replaced as well as two of the walls removed so that the kitchen would be more open to the rest of the house. Oren and his team were great from the beginning. He gave us his initial quote and a completion date before he started and he stuck to both the entire time. Naturally, lots of issues/fixes appeared during the remodel (since we went down to studs and it's an old house), but Oren always took care of everything and never charged us more. His guys did an incredible job gutting the kitchen, replacing the floor, cabinets, fixtures, appliances, painting, tiling, rewiring, building a new pantry, removing the old walls, installing new support beams, everything. His crew changed often, but everybody was friendly and cleaned up as best they could at the end of each day. There were a few things that needed to be done more than once since Oren was not present every day to supervise (we had a countertop installed wrong, some crooked outlets, etc.). That said, Oren ALWAYS immediately fixed the problem at no cost to me as soon as possible (and nothing delayed the completion date we were originally given.) Speaking of -- Oren was always available through email (he uses Basecamp), phone, texting, etc. We never waited more than an hour for a response to our question or concern. In addition, we liked Oren and his team so much we also had them replace our galvanized plumbing under the house and our electrical panel. Both were his suggestion, but the decision was left to us, and we never felt pressured. All in all, I think the pictures speak for themselves. Our kitchen was dated and unappealing and SOD turned it into our dream kitchen at the initial price they promised and by the time they promised it by. Oren was always easy to work with, his guys were friendly, and we couldn't be happier with the finished result. We definitely plan to use SOD Builders again.

Susan was referred to us by our builder, as we custom built a new home. Working with Susan early in the process, she was able to help us select our flooring and tile options as well as coordinate the look and flow of our home. Susan also helped us design custom tile work for our entry. As we got closer to move in, we had many items left to purchase and worked with Susan and her husband John who is a licensed contractor. We installed new carpet and hardwood floor after closing which saved us quite a bit on our budget over the builder’s costs. As we prepared to move in we used Susan's services for paint, carpet, furniture selection, lighting and window coverings. We've been very happy not only with the design elements that she has helped us with but also with the overall customer service and respect of our time and our budget. We would strong recommend bringing in a designer in the earliest phases of building to help with the cohesiveness of the entire project.

I am working with Eugene Sakai and his team at Studio S Squared Architecture on our remodel project. Our project is now under construction and not yet completed yet. At our first meeting, Eugene has already done his research on our local building code and requirements. He shared with us many valuable materials on design process. He also released the whole list of his clients so that we can contact any of them for references. These up front disclosures of information made us feel more comfortable with him. Eugene is a good listener. This is one of the most important factors we decided to hire him. During the design process, he has the ability understand what we need and he is very responsive. He also encouraged us to use Houzz to share ideas. We created a few ideabooks to show Eugene the styles we’d like and he also collected a few photos to give us ideas of different options in design. Eugene has a great sense of space, light and general flow. He is a nice and inspiring person to work with.

Preface: I am the son of an architect and grew up around architecture and architects, but have never done a project myself until now... After interviewing 4 architects for our major home remodel, we chose Jeff Pellitier and his firm Board & Vellum for the the job. We like his mixture of experience in larger firms, pragmatic and cost-conscious approach, and desire to create working yet artful spaces. I particularly liked his prior experience with construction management, which is critical to successful execution. We are currently at the permitting stage with most of the major design decisions behind us. Lots of detailed decisions to come though. Jeff has assembled a good team as well. We have worked with several of them during various stages of the work so far. The team started by doing detailed as-built plans, and then started working with us on conceptual designs. Special shoutout to Anne for some of her good ideas on floor layouts. We care a lot about building green (without going crazy) and recycling/reuse wherever possible and they are helping us do this where it makes sense. Jeff was also helped us select a contractor and is keen on keeping them integrally involved in the project planning to ensure smooth construction process. We came to the team with a fairly detailed program for our house and through a several meetings and a final design charette we have realized almost all of the key design goals. Jeff has been very open about the process, timing and costs. Billing is very detailed and understandable. No surprises. We're not done yet, but the process is well underway and moving smoothly. Board and Vellum and Jeff Pellitier (& team!) have my highest recommendation. I will try to update this review later when we have results to show.

Rudloff Custom Builders performed extensive interior renovations on our home including: gutting and rebuilding our kitchen and butler's pantry (moving plumbing, etc) and building a custom banquette with storage; renovating four bathrooms; building out our lower level, including a new bathroom and a home gym in storage space; adding custom moldings and coffered ceilings, extensive electrical work, painting, removing and replacing windows and french doors, replacing marble tiles, and more! The Rudloff team worked quickly, efficiently and were incredibly professional as well as meticulous. All subcontractors working in our home were respectful, did great work, and left our home clean after leaving each day. We accomplished 8 months worth of work in 4 months. We can't say enough about Rudloff Custom Builders.
GOODFELLAS CONSTRUCTION

I wanted a new kitchen design in my Beverly Hills Condo. The current version was pretty up to date but I do a lot of cooking and wanted a multi-surface counter top for easier clean up. I found GoodFellas because my neighbors were working with them and they did an impeccable job. They were able to come in for a walk though and I signed up right away because I was itching for a new kitchen. The project manager Ran stopped by with many samples of countertops and walked me through the pros and cons of all of them. We used two different materials throughout the kitchen to be compatible with my constant baking and easy clean up. I had to go out of town during part of the remodel due to an emergency but Ran sent me updates and pictures the entire time. They really care about building strong relationships and do a great quality job.

We feel very fortunate to have discovered Matt Sneller and Sneller Custom Homes and Remodeling for our home remodeling project. Our home was built in 1981 and was in need of a major remodeling. While our home was well maintained, we had not made any significant changes and like most homes of that era lacked the openness we had desired for some time. We had considered selling our home and buying a new home that incorporated the openness and modern conveniences we were looking for, but loved our location, our pool and spacious yard, and hated to leave our home of the past 30 years. We had talked to several contractors about remodeling our home, but they either showed no interest or were unwilling to provide any scope details or specific cost estimates for remodeling our home. The general question asked was how much do you want to budget/spend, instead of trying to understand what we wanted to achieve and from that developing a project scope and cost estimate for the work. Sneller Custom Homes and Remodeling was like a fresh breath of air. Matt met with us two or three times to discuss ideas. From those ideas a detailed scope and cost estimate for our project was developed. A floor plan was generated along with elevation views and all of this was done before a contract was executed and before one dollar was paid! Matt helped us design the openness in our home we had longed for but had been unsure of how to accomplish. Our project included a redesign of our kitchen and breakfast room layout which provided new built-in cabinets, granite countertops, new plumbing, new appliances, porcelain tile flooring, and recessed room lighting and LED under counter lighting. The wall which separated our kitchen and family room was removed and the countertop section separating the kitchen from the breakfast area was also removed really opening our floor plan. Our family room was updated with porcelain tile flooring replacing carpet, new built-in cabinetry with wine cooler, the TV was moved to above the fireplace, and the worn out wood paneling was painted which really lightened and brightened the room. The biggest change was to our master bath where more efficient use of the space was made while bringing a real “wow factor“ to the room. The master bath remodel included building a larger and glass enclosed shower with a mosaic tile design, new larger tub with marble decking and tile backing, marble countertops, built-in cabinets, new recessed lighting, new plumbing fixtures, and a creative tile floor design. Other project work included a re-do of the powder room, converting a garage closet space into a pantry for the kitchen, and wood floors for our living room and study. Sneller Custom Homes and Remodeling completed the project on time and on budget and the end result was the home we were looking for and in fact exceeded our best expectations. I would highly recommend Sneller Custom Homes and Remodeling to anyone looking for a contractor to help them create their dream home.
